On November 6, 2008, visiting Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo held consultation in Moscow with Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev.

The two sides hailed the China-Russia strategic partnership of cooperation, and agreed that the two countries enjoy enhanced mutually beneficial cooperation and fruitful consultations on ensuring international and regional peace, security and stability.

They also exchanged views on the changing international situation as well as global and regional challenges faced by the international community. The two sides pledged to strengthen mutual trust, support each other in national sovereignty, security and integrity, and boost cooperation in maintaining world peace and furthering common prosperity.

The members of the Chinese delegation also held consultations with their counterparts from relevant Russian agencies.
